The Team

A large research team of this proposal (17 researchers, 11 of which are permanent researchers at various levels) is part of the Nanoelectronics, Photonics and Microsystems Program of the Ιnstitute of Νanoscience and Νanotechnology, a Program that heavily relies on the capabilities offered by the infrastructure of the Nanotechnology and Microsystems Laboratory and the contributing expertise and technological-know how of the Plasma Nanotechnology Lab.
What characterizes this large team is not only the long-standing cumulative expertise on micro-nanotechnologies that surpasses in total 30 years, but the continuous drive to advance the frontiers of their respective fields of expertise, to widen their research activities and to get involved. Currently, the activities of the entire team may be succinctly summarized in the following large thematic areas:
- Nanoelectronics
- Nanophotonics
- Optical Biosensors
- Micro-nano-biosystems
- Microfluidics and Lab on a chip
- Smart functional surfaces
